The Mamba – East Eats West

Very proud to announce the first (of hopefully many) download-only releases on Invisible, Inc.

First up is a driving two-track EP by The Mamba. Opening track ‘Flicker’ brings veteran multi-instrumentalist Jon Keliehor on board and proceeds to process his Indonesian flute beyond all recognition on the opening acid-trance voodoo brain-cruncher ‘Flicker’ giving it a distinctly eastern, albeit twisted……eh, twist.

The B-side gets slower and darker. Beginning with a menacing motorik bass reminiscent of John Carpenter, a shimmering layer of melodic chords soon emerges but quickly loses any significance when an errant LFO which seems to have no idea which BPM to stick with enters the fray. Definitely one for the head-melting section of the night.
