Krokakai – Burning Pleasures EP
Very proud to showcase yet another Glasgow-based artist for our second Invisible Inc digital-only release.
This time around it’s Krokakai aka Kyle Webster at the controls. Some of you may remember Krokakai from our INVINC 17 Cassette compilation in late 2017.
Ranging from tribal sci-fi rave to new wave electro and then powering onwards to almost industrial sounding slo-mo techno, the machines under Krokakai’s control are perfectly tuned for Invisible Inc.’s dark side.
The EP features an amazing extended version of Ardu 1009 which appeared on INVINC 17-CAS that adds an entirely new breakdown complete with distorted (and deranged) saxophone thanks to Jude Thomson that definitely takes the track further than we could have imagined.
However, taking pride of place in pole position is the tribal sci-fi mantra Bodhran Beat: a spoken-word, bleep fuelled, drum-filled odyssey into rhythm and sound that’s already been getting praise and plays from Manfredas, Mr TC and Alicia Carrera (Hivern Discs).
The two tracks are complimented perfectly by the new wave/synth pop of Mutual Reaction and the hypno-gothic industrial throb of Awaken.
